As part of SITE's ongoing commitment to support professional development, SITE Foundation is thrilled to announce the return of its academic scholarship. The SITE Foundation will award four individuals with a one-time payment of $5,000 USD (or equivalent) to support their educational pursuits. 

Any SITE member undertaking a higher education course at a recognized university or institution in 2024 is eligible for this award. Any career field or major qualifies. 

Scholarship may be awarded to a SITE member whose course(s) is already in progress (and due to be completed in 2024 or later), to those in a part-time course, or to a member who has been accepted into a course that commences in 2024.

Note: SITE Board Members, Foundation Trustees, SITE staff and their immediate family members are ineligible to apply.

You will submit your application through this Submittable platform. 

You need to complete your scholarship application and submit it along with your essay by Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Your essay should contain a minimum of 1,000 words and fewer than 1,500 words on one of the following topics:

  • What motivates you to strive for excellence in your education/career? 
  • What is your dream incentive travel program?
  • Describe what sparked your interest in the subject/career you are planning to pursue.  

NOTE: Please avoid using your name on the essay portion. 

Requirements:
            1) You must be a member of SITE
            2) You must have a current / pending enrollment in a university / higher education institution (proof will be required).
How are Recipients Chosen?
         Entries are reviewed anonymously by a committee. Applicants will be notified in June 2024.
Applications are evaluated based on the following:
              Strength of the essay submission
              Clear proof of eligibility and adherence to theme/word count
              Academic achievements
              Educational goals


 Funds will be sent directly to the financial aid offices at the recipient's universities. Recipients will be asked to share updates during scheduled check-ins at key intervals such as the beginning of the semester, mid-term, and end of the semester to provide support, gather feedback, and assess progress. Check-ins can be conducted via email, phone calls, or virtual meetings, depending on the recipients' preferences.
